Coffee Craving Mocktail a Phenolic Powerhouse!

This invigorating mocktail captures the essence of coffee with reduced caffeine. It combines the rich flavor of fresh-roasted coffee with the tang of yogurt, all boosted by the health benefits of polyphenols from high phenolic EVOO.

Ingredients (Rich in Phenolic Compounds):

  • 1 cup cold brew coffee (made with freshly roasted and ground coffee for maximum polyphenols)
Tip: To make cold brew, steep coarse grounds in cold water for 12-24 hours. [1]
  • ½ cup plain yogurt (Greek yogurt yummiest)
  • ¾ cup unsweetened almond milk (or another plant-based milk of your choice)
  • 1-2 teaspoons Aristoleo+ PowerShot Certified HP EVOO (added after blending)
  • 1-2 tablespoons honey (from a trusted local source or known brand)
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of ground cardamom (optional)
  • Fresh nutmeg grating (for garnish)

Let's Talk Polyphenols!
Or more correctly - phenolic compounds

This mocktail is packed with ingredients rich in bio-phenolic compounds, natural micronutrients with potential health benefits. Freshly roasted coffee beans boast a high polyphenol content. Yogurt, particularly Greek yogurt, may also contain some polyphenols that contribute to gut health and offer antioxidant properties. Finally, certified high phenolic EVOO adds another layer of these beneficial compounds.

Instructions:

  1. Blend it Up! In a blender, combine the cold brew coffee, yogurt, almond milk, cinnamon, and cardamom (if using). Blend until smooth and well combined.
  2. EVOO Finesse! Drizzle Aristoleo+ PowerShot or spritz Aristoleo+ MicroDosing after blending to prevent hydrogenation and preserve its health benefits.
  3. Sweetness Check! Taste the mixture and adjust sweetness with honey from your trusted source if desired.
  4. Chill and Garnish! Pour the mixture into chilled glasses and garnish with a fresh nutmeg grating.

Tips & Variations:

  • Creamy Delight: Use vanilla yogurt for a richer texture.
  • Iced Delight: Add a few ice cubes to the blender for a colder drink.
  • Chocolate Craving: Drizzle with sugar-free chocolate syrup for a decadent touch.
  • Spice it Up! Add a pinch of cayenne pepper for a surprising kick (be cautious!).
